Craig Hall is the home to our introductory audio/video editing lab and equipment. We have seven editors with Avid MediaComposer®, Sony SoundForge® and Vegas®, and Adobe CS4 Production software. We also have an audio recording room with Digidesign ProTools® and Sony SoundForge® & Vegas® software. Use the links below to view our hours and to reserve time on an editor. Strong Hall is the home to the core of our production labs and equipment. We have a six suite digital film editing lab (Avid MediaComposer®), a six suite broadcast news lab (Avid NewsCutter®), a four suite audio post production lab (Digidesign ProTools®), a television studio, a live music recording studio with a surround sound editing lab (Digidesign ProTools®), and a radio-style performance studio. Student Media Center Lab

The Growl is the department's fully operational internet audio broadcast station. Students enrolled in courses offered by the department together with the student organization, TheGrowl, provide a full range of programing available 24-hours a day. Use the links below to reserve production. Note: use of Growl equipment and editors is restricted to currently enrolled media students working on media assignments and members of the TheGrowl student organization. Pummill Hall Print Journalism Lab

Supervisor: Tom Dickson

Pummill Hall is the current home of our print and photo journalism lab. This lab is equiped with 25 workstations, a B&W laser printer and a color laser printer. This lab uses Adobe Design and Quark Xpress software.

We're moving! Starting with the Spring 2010 semester this lab will move to a completely remodeled Craig Hall room 316.

Siceluff Hall Media Labs

Siceluff Hall, newly remodeled, houses the College of Arts and Letters New Media Lab and (soon) a new experimental Collaborative Classroom Lab.

The New Media Lab's 20 workstations are used to teach a variety of journalism, multimedia, web design, and art courses. The New Media Lab has the entire Adobe software collection.

The Collaborative Classroom Lab will have six mobile pods with 30 laptop computers. Each pod area will be equiped with it's own 40" presentation screen. This room will also feature a high definition projection system with a blu-ray player and surround sound. The software available in this lab will include the Adobe Design collection and FinalCut Express.
