Craig Hall is the home to our introductory audio/video editing lab and equipment. We have seven editors with Avid MediaComposer®, Digidesign ProTools®, Sony Vegas®, and Adobe Creative Suite Production software located in Craig 318. We also have an audio recording room with Digidesign ProTools® and Sony Vegas® software located in Craig 317. Use the links below to view our hours and to reserve time on an editor. Craig Hall COAL Shared Lab

The Craig 316 COAL Shared Lab is equiped with 30 workstations, a B&W laser printer, a color laser printer, and a photo scanner. This lab uses Adobe Creative Suite Design and Quark Xpress software.

Strong Hall is the home to the core of our production labs and equipment. We have a six suite digital film editing lab (Avid MediaComposer®), a six suite broadcast news lab (Avid NewsCutter® & Digidesign ProTools®), a four suite audio post production lab (Digidesign ProTools®), a television studio, a live music recording studio with a surround sound editing lab (Digidesign ProTools®), and a radio-style performance studio. Student Media Center Lab

The Growl is the department's fully operational internet audio broadcast station. Students enrolled in courses offered by the department together with the student organization, TheGrowl, provide a full range of programing available 24-hours a day. Siceluff Hall Media Labs

COAL New Media Lab, SICL 328

The COAL New Media Lab's 20 workstations are used to teach a variety of journalism, multimedia, web design, theatre and art courses. The New Media Lab has the entire Adobe Creative Suite collection, Quark Xpress and Apple FinalCut Express software. Student's attending courses in the Collaborative Classroom Lab may use the New Media Lab's open hours to complete course work.

COAL Collaborative Classroom Lab, SICL 126

The COAL Collaborative Classroom Lab has six mobile pods with 30 laptop computers. Each pod area is equiped with it's own 40" presentation screen. This room features a high definition projection system with a blu-ray player. The software available in this lab includes the Adobe Creative Suite Design collection and Apple FinalCut Express. The Collaborative Classroom Lab is only available for scheduled classes, it does not have open hours.
