The (not so) Great Facts and Opinion Hunt

 

Find a partner and complete the following tasks:

Choose one of the reviews that I handed out as models. Re-read it carefully. Then answer the following questions:

1. How does the reviewer establish his/her authority and credibility (ethos)?

2. What evaluations (opinions) of the subject does the reviewer make.

3. What factual and/or experiential information does the reviewer use to back up the evaluations?

4. Is the reviewer fair? How do you know?
