Won Best Actress at Venice Film Festival (in September) for her role in "Une Affaire de Femmes". The film started to shoot in April and was finished right before the film festival. It's marked as a return for Isabelle since she hadn't made films in France for the past three or four years.
Gave birth to her second child - Lorenzo, in the early of the year.
Made two long interviews for Cahiers du Cinema, conducted by Serge Toubianna, where she talked openly about herself, her choice of the roles.
Shot film "Milan Noire" (late of the year), directed by Ronald Chammah, her long-term partner, and written by Catherine Breillat, her long-term good friend.

Went to Poland to shoot "The Possessed", directed by Andrzej Wajda
Went to America after "Heaven's Gate" flop (in 1980), shoot "Bedroom Window" with Curtis Hanson, long time before he won the Oscar for "LA Confidences".
1986
Went to Austria for "Cactus" directed by Paul Cox. Chammah and Lolita accompanied with her. The film also used a lot of footage shot by her family of her as a child.
1985
A depressed year for her? She only made two films with two female directors, one is her sister Caroline, "Signe Charlotte", the other is Josiane Balasko, "Sac de Noeuds".
1983
Lolita, the first child of Isabelle's was born on October 1, 1983, father is Italian director Ronald Chammah. Isabelle cesased working for 9 months, the first time since 1976.
"Entre Nous" was very success both commercially and artistically.
1982
"La Truite" by Joseph Losey finally got made. It's a film that Lossey wanted to make since 60s. After he met Isabelle in a film festival in 1977, while Isabelle showed insterests to work with him, he decided to resume the project. With Daniel Toscan du Plantier's help for funding, the film was able to shoot in France in February, then moved to Japan in April.
Isabelle escaped from France, traveling around the world when Diane Kurys was looking for her to play her mother in "Enter Nous". Isabelle was hesitated then accepted the role. The film was shot at the end of the year.

Isabelle posed nude for Lui - French adult magazine equal to "Playboy", surprised a lot her friends, and her fans.
